CONFERENCE-IN-A-BOX

We are excited that you have decided to host your own mini-conference concurrent with the Policy Community Conference that is being held in Ottawa at the National Arts Centre (NAC) on March 28-29, 2018.

The Conference-in-a-Box is designed to provide you with the materials that you need to organize a two-day mini-conference with your colleagues.

There is no need to register (and there is no cost) to take advantage of the virtual Conference-In-A-Box. However, if you are organizing a mini-conference, please let the Policy Community Partnership Office know: policommpoli@canada.ca or Tweet @policommpoli #policomm

Your mini-conference can include:

  • Group viewing of the webcasted portions of the Conference live from the NAC
  • A policy innovation session being delivered exclusively to the virtual audience
  • A choice of group exercises that you can conduct with the participants of your mini-conference
  • Connecting with other virtual participants through Twitter and GCcollab
  • We look forward to your active participation!

For Conference-in-a-Box product related issues contact: Brian Double (ENG/FRE) brian.double@canada.ca and Robert Butler (ENG) robert.butler@agr.gc.ca

*GCcollab is an open source, cloud-based digital collaboration platform design to encourage information sharing and co-creation of policies and research. It provides people the opportunity to connect and collaborate with innovative, creative, and strategic thinkers, who are available to share their research and help policy makers further create evidence-based policy. GCcollab is a major step toward a more innovative, open, and collaborative way of identifying, exploring and co-creating policy and research agendas.

GCcollab is accessible to Canadian federal, provincial, territorial, and municipal public servants via their government email addresses, and to academics and students of all Canadian universities and colleges, via their school email account. The platform is open to others, by invitation.
